For those just beginning a blues guitar lesson, often wonder if it would be better to start learning on an electric guitar. That question is a good one, since you will often see legends of blues on electric guitars.

Ready for the answer? Play what you own! Evening if you’re using an acoustic, you can do pretty much anything that’s done on an electric, with the exception of a few more advanced techniques.

At the beginning, it’s best not to over commit your finances to an expensive electric guitar. Not until you have decided that this is the instrument and genre for you.

So enjoy that blues guitar lesson and just continue to work on your chops with the instrument you have at hand.

Beware of Candles With Lead Wicks

Make certain whenever you purchase candles that the label declares that there is definitely absolutely no lead in the wick or wick core. Several candle wicks have been proven to include lead or some other metals. Whenever burned these types of metals can easily produce a toxic fume. While lead wicks have become prohibited in the United States and Canada, a few candles have nevertheless been discovered with lead in the wicks. Be aware of candles coming from overseas. Overseas candle makers do not have the same quality control on incoming materials. You can be safe be insuring you buy American made candles only. Also be aware that some of the big name candle suppliers have oversea operations or buy from an overseas source and just slap on their label.

Learning to play effectively will take discipline. This may seem like an obvious detail, but the reality is it is often ignored. Make sure you are in the right frame of mind to practice and you will have greater success.

The next thing to be concerned about when it comes to learning guitar, is to have realistic expectations about how well you are going to play and how soon. It is one thing to aspire to play guitar like B.B. King after a single blues guitar lesson, but that just isn’t going to happen. If your goals are realistic, so to will be your progress.

Although flamenco is tied in many people’s minds to the guitar, it is important to know where it came from when looking for guitar courses. Within the twelfth century, an indigenous music developed in the Andalusian region of Southern Spain, an instantaneous result of the presence of Arab-speaking Moorish invaders from North Africa. Three centuries later, there was an influx of Gypsy tribes from central Europe who settled within the region, brining with them their own traditions. These 2 musical cultures came together to supply flamenco, which has remained a robust element of the Gypsy heritage. Till the center of the nineteenth century, flamenco was unheard of out of doors of the Andalusian Gypsy communities, and it wasn’t till the 1920’s that the shape became known outside of Spain.
