Why are premature babies more at risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)?

Probably because their whole system (lungs, heart, etc) isn’t as mature as a full term baby.

I know someone you had a baby at 35wks with no ammunoic fluid small placenta and only 3 pounds. Plus was under developed. The baby died about 5 days before delievery. She also has a fibro uteris. Any thoughts of what could have went wrong.

I don’t know… That’s a good question, I guess. I was born a month early. Not as drastic as 2 1/2 months early, but still premature.
