B-Roll on HD DVD Players
So what is B-roll you may ask? That’s not an odd question since many of use are much mroe familiar with Bluray movies and their special features than we are of the HD DVD Movies and it’s special features.
The B-roll on many HD DVD discs and HD DVD Players was a special picture in picture function that allowed you to watch alternate takes, angles and views of the same scene while you are watching the production or theatical cut scene in the main picture. It was a really great diea that unfortunately wasn’t enough to keep the HD DVD around longer, but while it was here, it was great to watch!
