Don’t tan your fish!
A little known tip for new aquarium owners.
Some things that are important somehow fail to be mentioned. Never put a tank in an area that it will receive direct sunlight. The sun can heat up a tank very quickly and can kill fish. Sunlight also breeds algae. Plan a space for your aquarium near a wall space or corner. Corners are not usually a great place to put a tank, because you lose one viewing side of your tank. It also limits your area to put your equipment. Also try to place your tank near outlets so you won’t have to add extension cords.
