My sons were born five and a half weeks early, now at two months old, they weigh more than the average two month old and are very healthy boys.

I had two, both healthy now but I had other medical conditions that made my pregnancy high -risk. It was scary but I am not sure, but if I was healthy maybe they would not have been premature.

lots of first baby’s are preemies mostly because your body isn’t use to carry a child. My first was almost 2 1/2 months early and i did everything they sad. but my second baby was right on time. And don’t worry in most cases a doctor can determine if the baby will be early especially if there’s a history of it and be ready to give you safe medication to keep the baby were it needs to be for as long as possible.

I think the odds of having another preemie depends on the person. I know alot of people who have had more than one. My husband and his brother were both preemies and my grandma had 3 preemies, all boys, the girls were full term. My son was a preemie but that is because they had to do an emergency C-Section cause my son had an atrial flutter. (His heart rate was 220 bpm, and the top part of his heart was fluttering at 440 bpm)

my bb was 4 wks early.my first 2 were both 6 days late.u cant predict these things.there r no odds.

I HAVE 4 CHILDREN MY 1ST 1 I CARRIED 2WKS. OVER MY DUE DATE, MY 2ND WAS 6WKS EARLY, MY 3RD WAS BORN AT 25WKS. GESTATION, MY 4TH WAS BORN AT 26WKS. I HAD MY 1ST 3 A LITTLE MORE THAN A YR APART SO, I THOUGHT THAT WAS WHY THEY WERE PREEMIES BECAUSE MY BODY WASN’T HAVING TIME TO HEAL IN BETWEEN. BUT, I WAITED 5 YRS. TO HAVE MY 4TH AND SHE WAS ALSO PREMATURE.

With every preemie you give birth to your chances of having another is quite possible.

I have had 3 children 2 being normal pregnancies and 1 being preemie, she was born at 27 weeks due to a trauma. A drunk driver hit me while I was pregnant with her. So I would have to say it depends on why your baby was preemie as to the odds of it happening again. Ask your doctor he/she would know. Good Luck
