What Kind Of Health Problems Does Premature Babies Get?

For an example, Cerebral Palsy is there any other? Im doing an essay and i was premature, 2lbs. I have no health problems, not allergic to anything, im fine. Im just wondering what kind of health problems premature babies can get?

respiratory problems…SIDS…mental retardation…vision and hearing problems….among many others!! sorry cant b more help..preggo brain!!

    There are a number of complications that are more likely in premature than full-term babies:

    1.Respiratory distress syndrome : Most of the premature babies suffer from this breathing problem .

    2.Apnea: Premature babies sometimes stop breathing for 20 seconds or more. This interruption in breathing is called apnea, and it may be accompanied by a slow heart rate.

    3.Cerebral palsy: refers to a group of conditions that affect movement, balance and posture.

    Also Anemia,Chronic lung disease and Infections commonly seen in premature babies .
