How many weeks of pregnancy can u be to give birth for the baby not to be a premature baby ?
I am 32 weeks and I feel like I am ready to give birth….How many weeks of pregnancy would I have to be for it to be ok to give birth? And the baby not have to stay in the hospital?
37-42 weeks is considered full term.

at least 37 weeks. that’s when your considered "full term" any time before that would be considered premature

Wow 3 different answers! If you google it- it says 37 weeks… I know my dr. would not stop labor at 35 weeks but that doesn’t mean the baby would be fine, it may need to be in the NICU for a period of time. I had two friends who had babies at 32 weeks, each of them stayed in the NICU for only 3 weeks and did great (they were both girls and girls tend to do better then boys if born early) I would talk to your doctor and get their opinion! Good luck!

i went into natural labour at 35 weeks and she was premature she was only 4lb 2 i had to have steroid injections for 2 days before i could have my baby and they was a risk of her having to go to neo-natal luckily she was able to breathe on her own so she stayed with me i was in hospital for 9 days as she couldnt suckle so she had a feeding tube dont try to rush nature your baby will come when he/she is ready not when you are good luck

before 37 weeks is preterm. but even if you deliver at full term, the baby may have to be in the nicu. You never know what might happen. What you are feeling is normal, but you should want the baby to stay in there as close to 40 weeks as possible. And be prepared for anything in the delivery room, even though most likely everything will go well.
Good luck!

After 37 weeks your baby is considered "full-term".
At 32 weeks, mostly likely your baby’s lungs are not fully developed and your baby would probably have to stay in the NICU for 4-6 weeks after birth.
The only other possibility is perhaps you are further along that you think? But just be patient and let things happen naturally.
I sometimes felt like I was ready to give birth at 32 weeks, mostly because I just wanted my baby to finally arrive and I think I was just impatient. She arrived on her own accord, 5 days after her due date.
Good Luck and Congrats~

You are full term at 37 weeks. However even a month or more early not technically a preemie if over 5 lbs. The baby’s lungs are the last to develop so the main thing is if they are able to function on their own. IF not they will keep the baby in the hospital on oxygen and incubator most likely.
If you went into labor now they would try to stop it. If there was a real danger of giving birth they would pump you with steroids in the hopes of getting the lungs to develop.
A few more weeks, I know its hard and you want this baby out but keep in mind you want them in there as long as you can. After the 37 weeks is when they start packing on the cute lil baby fat. You want that too;)
Congrats and blessings

Thirty-seven weeks is considered full term, and up to forty is normally healthy. I doubt, however, that if you had a baby at thirty-six weeks, they’d consider him or her premature.

i went into labor with first baby at 37 weeks and they treated him like he was premature even though he was 7 pounds 7 ounces so about 38 weeks is when they consider full term.
