However even a month or more early not technically a preemie if over 5 lbs. The baby's lungs are the last to develop so the main thing is if they are able to function on their own. If there was a real danger of giving birth they would pump you with steroids in the hopes of getting the lungs to develop. A few more weeks, I know its hard and you want this baby out but keep in mind you want them in there as long as you can. After the 37 weeks is when they start packing on the cute lil baby fat. The only other possibility is perhaps you are further along that you think? But just be patient and let things happen naturally.
