She needs to go now!! Sometimes they can prolong premature birth but if she waits too long then probably not. My sister lost her mucous plug and then 2 days later she saw blood--needless to say she had her baby 3 months early. Def not a good thing so tell her to go the emerg room now. But if it's only little pieces, it can regenerate... I was born at 7 months and I am doing great so her baby can have a bright future ahead of him/her.'
