He was 1 lb. 12.4 oz at birth and is now a normal (in fact BIG for his age) 5 year old. I know we are one of the lucky ones, that's for sure. It could have easily gone the other way. Nicely done.

My son was born 8 weeks early/ 16 weeks IUGR. He had Heart Murmur and bilaterial surgery at 4 months old.
He was 1 lb. 12.4 oz at birth and is now a normal (in fact BIG for his age) 5 year old.
I know we are one of the lucky ones, that’s for sure. It could have easily gone the other way.
