Clearview RC Flight Simulator
Clearview makes a very nice flight simulator software package that is attracting a growing number of rc fans. It is not free like FMS, but at about $40 US it is very reasonably priced. This is an obvious choice over FMS if you have Windows Vista or Windows 7, which are currently not supported by FMS but are by Cleaview.
The software has attractive graphics and includes images and flight parameters for numerous radio control model helicopters and planes. If you want to create your own models to fly, you can build them with the 3D modeling system AC3D and incorporate them right into the package! Flying sites are also customizable and the software allows water takeoffs and landings, which is terrific if you’re simulating a seaplane.
Clearview does not provide a controller, however. The Esky controller available through Radio Controlled Toys Online is recommended by Clearview, although other controllers may also be used.
