The Importance of Visualization In Sports
Visualization is very important in sports, especially at the highest levels.
Most Olympic athletes will tell you that they spend a great deal of their time “vizualizing”.
This usually involves the athlete closing their eyes and visualizing or picturing themselves perform incredible feats.
If they run track, they will picture themselves getting the perfect start, accelerating faster than everyone else, and crossing the finish line in first place.
They will visualize every single detail of the race, from how nervous they are before the race to how cold the air is.
As you can see, sports is not just about figuring out how to jump higher.
It has A LOT more to do with your mindset than anything else.
